Lorna Tedder, The MITRE Corporation

Ms. Lorna Tedder is Principal Program Manager and Agile Acquisition Subject Matter Expert in the MITRE Corporation’s National Security Engineering Center (NSEC) with a special emphasis on contracting strategies.  She has 31 years of experience in Federal Acquisition and Contracting and a year of rapid acquisition consulting for both industry and the Department of Defense. 

Prior to joining MITRE in 2019, Ms. Tedder served as the Chief of Contracting for the Rapid Acquisition Cell at Eglin AFB, FL.  She is known for leveraging innovative contracting tools as a Contracting Officer and procurement (policy) analyst to expedite program activities and enable partnerships with non-traditional industry partners.  She shares her expertise with both industry and Government personnel, teaching them oral proposal techniques, Other Transactions, 10 USC 2373, Omnibus Broad Agency Announcements, Price Based Acquisition, strategic sourcing, umbrella strategies, and rapid acquisition techniques.
